Berry & Associates CPA, PC was founded in the mid-1980’s by Don Berry, CPA. Mr. Berry started the firm with only four clients and a vision of providing quality and timely tax, audit, accounting, and business advisory services to clients. Mr. Berry’s passion for the business and his clients led to tremendous success and growth for over 25 years. In 2011, after 50+ years in the profession, Mr. Berry made the decision to retire.

In January 2012, after working for Berry & Associates for 8 years, Amy Pennington purchased the firm. Amy shares the same values as Mr. Berry and has continued the growth of the firm while maintaining the same feel and atmosphere it had under the leadership of Mr. Berry.

After 25 years, the firm’s vision remains the same — The firm continues to earn the appreciation of its clients through hard work, professional expertise, and a genuine desire to provide excellent service at affordable fees.

Amy Pennington Owner

Although originally from the small town of Carnesville in Northeast Georgia, Amy Pennington’s roots run deep in the CSRA with most of her family in Glascock and Jefferson counties. She chose only to move so far from her family, to Evans, because keeping ties is important to Amy. And this heart for keeping ties applies to her clients, the same.

After graduating from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Accounting, Amy spent the first 7 years of her career working at two CPA firms in Athens. This was just the beginning of her 20+ years of experience in public accounting. She then moved to Evans where she began working for Don Berry. With Amy, there’s no hopping around or handing off clients. She wants to know her clients just as she knows her family.

Amy is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAS, and the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. Titles are titles but they are also signs of Amy’s dedication to her clients and her profession.
